Toadstool birdbaths

These toadstool-like birdbaths are made by a sculptor from Victoria’s western district. Each whimsical birdbath is individually crafted by re-working the copper from old hot water units. Therefore, each is unique and may vary slightly from the birdbath in the photograph. The baths have been aged with a verdigris finish. Each birdbath is supported by a detachable copper stalk.

The birdbaths can be viewed and selected at Sorrento or Toorak, or delivery can be arranged.

Contemporary birdbaths

Designed by Sorrento based landscape designer Fiona Brockhoff, these birdbaths are spun from copper and aged naturally in the sea air to achieve a verdigris finish unique to each dish.

The timber pedestals and tripods used to support the Contemporary70 birdbaths are turned from Australian durable hardwood timber; the pedestals are Cypress Pine (Callitris sp.) and the tripods are Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata).  Copper pipe stands are used to support the Contemporary100 birdbaths.  The birdbaths function equally well positioned on a pedestal, tripod or stand, or placed on paving, lawn or amongst plants. If using a pedestal, extra stability can be achieved by placing a large stone in the centre of the dish.

The birdbaths can be viewed and selected at Sorrento or Toorak, or delivery can be arranged.
